Tuesday, 25 August 2009 11:34

Ladies and Germs. We are offering to you EXCLUSIVE rutrainingtoday kit. This stunning kit comes from Kalas who are well known throughout the cycling community for their quality.

We are gauging interest from users of the site, to see who may be interested in buying some for wearing on training rides, and club runs which means you can save your race kit for best.

We have got 20% off from Kalas which will make this extremely affordable.

What we have on offer is:

Perun Short Sleeve Jersey - £38

Perun is our most popular all round jersey material and is suitable for most kinds of cycling. It has a shiny surface with textured squares. It feels comfortably soft, has good elastic and offers pleasant comfort. Good ventilation and moisture transport, and even though the material feels thin it offers good wind protection. Dries fast and keeps its’ shape after repeated washing.

This jersey has an athletic cut and is designed to be tight fitting. The angled Raglan optimises upper body movement and offers enhanced design possibilities. There are 3 pockets on the back with elastic openings.

Gillet Gamex (Net Back) - £45

Gamex is a new material developed in Switzerland. It has a shiny surface and a square textured surface. This is our thinnest gillet material and it has many good qualities. Wind and water resistant, breathes well and extremely light weight. Offers very good protection against rain and cooling. Fits easily in a back pocket.

The gillet cut has a looser fit than the jersey. It is equipped with a full zipper with overlap under the zipper and a high collar to prevent water seeping in. It has a long back giving good protection down over the shorts. The gillet has a meshed panel on the lower part of the back to secure better ventilation

Picollo Jacket - £51

The jacket has a looser fit than the jersey. It comes with a full zipper and a high collar to prevent water seeping in. It has a long back giving good protection down over the shorts and generous arm length offers good protection of the wrist.

The Picollo Thermo material has a matt outer surface and a flossed inside. An excellent material for when there is a chill in the air and for warming up and after-cycle use.

Bib Shorts (Power Lycra) - £52

This is the powerhouse of the Kalas collection. Achieving the perfect fit and the highest level of comfort is our ultimate goal. Only the best Lycra material is used. Our dedicated seamstresses pay the highest attention to sewing in the chamois. The shorts should be tight fitting to secure stability. A tight fit of the straps over the shoulders, and a low cut front and a high back combined with wide straps contribute to a good fit

The new Power Lycra used by Kalas is denser and slightly heavier than normal Lycra. This increased density is designed to help the thigh muscles return to their initial relaxed position after having been contracted. Experience increased comfort due to the tighter and better fit that Power Lycra provides.

We are looking to see who is interested so please get to the forum and put your name down if you are. Postage will be £5 plus money upfront and these quality items will be with you in around 1 month.

Race Report: A long day on some deceivingly tough roads met the peloton at the Vuelta after the first rest day at 175.7km stage from Tarragona to Vilanova i la Geltrú. Imanol Erviti attacked his breakaway mates and stayed away for a fine, hard earned win on hot Spanish roads today.

August 1st - that can only mean one thing. It's stagiaire time. Almost 100 young men got the chance to realise their dream of riding for a pro team at the beginning of last month. Some have stepped up with big results and a precious contract for 2011, others have not. PEZ spoke to a man we've been keeping an eye on and who's already racing as a stagiaire with a team that punches above it's weight - AN Post. He's 19 years-old, from Dublin - Mr. Philip Lavery.

For many of us, a highlight of the cycling year is a multi-day cycling event. For some, it’s a stage race. For others, it’s a bike tour. As we know, one of the keys to making such events tolerable, let alone enjoyable, is good food. Eating well and properly is not only good for the morale, but it’s critical in ensuring adequate recovery for another day of hard effort. What do elite cyclists do in terms of eating and energy output over the course of a hard stage race?
