I have for a number of years suffered with pretty bad cramps after about the hour mark in most races. This year however things have been different and one of those differences is the nutrition I use. Firstly I have become very strict with the gels I use and when to take those gels. The instructions on CNP Pro Energy gels direct me take 2-3 gels per hour with water and that is exactly what I have been doing. I feel fitter and stronger towards the latter part of the race allowing me to compete when the racing really starts.

Flavour wise the Cola gel is my favourite but that’s only available in the Pro Energy Max Gel. This gel comes with maltodextrin for a sustained release of energy. L-caffeine and guarana for energy & focus. Glucoronolactone for mental alertness.
CNP’s Pro Energy Gel has been developed in conjunction with British Cycling and the Sky Pro Cycling Team and is used by their riders. British Cycling and Sky Pro Cycling Team specifically requested CNP to not use citric acid in the formulation as they believe it can upset the riders’ stomachs. I believe that CNPs Pro Energy Gel can be used by cyclists of any level to provide a sustained release of energy without suffering an upset stomach or associated stomach bloating. All of CNP professional products are safe to use under IOC doping guidelines.

Pro Energy Gel Contains:
Maltodextrin – for a sustained release of energy
